Mission Statement:
Committed to providing opportunities to emerging artists, Devil's Thumb Productions' mission is to provide an opportunity for actors, directors, designers, and playwrights to find their unique voice and gain professional experience. The company strives to bring the Colorado community a relatable, unique, and professional theatre experience at an affordable cost.
Who We Are:
In early 2010, four University of Colorado graduates decided they wanted to mount a production together. As this process started, they quickly realized that having a company produce the show makes it sound way more legitimate to an audience then four peoples' names… and Devil's Thumb Productions sprang into existence! Since that fateful day, DTP has expanded quickly and continues to produce work in venues across Boulder. Future seasons are built on the idea of friends doing what they love to do, with people they enjoy working with.
Alex Hughes
Artistic Director
Alex is really excited about the new faces that will be introduced as actors, designers, and directors in DTP's third season, and is working hard at making this into a reality. Alex is very excited to travel to the Windy City during some of its most beautiful weather in March to produce and direct An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein, and is especially pleased for the chance to work with some Chicagoans you may remember from Dog Sees God and Jack and Jill. Alex hopes to see your familiar faces in the audience, as well as some new ones, at Accomplice, The Shape of Things, and Bug this season.

Anja Hose
Managing Director
Anja can't wait for you to see the amazing shows we have on offer for Season 3. She thinks this season will be an exciting one for audiences and DTP members alike as we branch out and try some new things, stretching our creativity and skills to the limit as we bring you thrills, laughs, and deep thoughts. Anja can't wait to work with Gregory Thorson more closely this season in Bug, which promises to be a wild ride!
Laura Kruegel
Director of Audience Development
Laura Kruegel is waiting with bated breath for The Shape of Things, as she will be directing for DTP for the first time. In the meantime you will see her in Accomplice and touring Colorado schools with Imagination Makers Theatre Company.
Nick Stockwell
Chicago Liaison
Nick is very busy with his life in Chicago. Things are going well for him and he's always got a project going on, so he's stepping back from DTP a little bit and allowing some fresh blood into the DTP company while he takes a more passive role until March's production of Shel Silverstein.
