Set in a seedy motel room, the play centers on the meeting between Agnes, a waitress, and Peter, a Gulf War vet, who were introduced to one another by Agnes's lesbian friend, R.C.. At first, Agnes lets Peter sleep platonically on the floor, but the relationship soon turns romantic right as Agnes's abusive ex-husband, Jerry, shows up expecting to resume their relationship. On top of all that, there's a hidden bug infestation, leaving Peter and Agnes dealing with scathing welts and open sores. Paranoia, conspiracy theories, and twisted psychological minds are all explored in this wonderfully lurid thriller.
